UofA BScN Graduating Class of 2006
(After Degree Program Group Photos)
The following photos were taken with our Casio EX-Z850 digital camera and I'm making them available to you via our website.
Congratulations on your achievement! You've all worked hard and have, no doubt, EARNED your degree (I have some inkling of the work involved, from having watched Rachel slave away, over the past two years.)
Now, on to the photos. There are 5 different "takes" and Rachel wanted me to give you a choice among all of them ( what a slave driver ). When you get a group together, there's likely to be someone (maybe you?) that has their eyes closed, or are looking away from the camera, etc. So, by offering you the choice of all five, you can choose the one in which you look best. However, there are only 5 total, so you better be pleased with ONE OF THEM, or you're hooped. All are JPG files and they come in three different resolutions and two different sizes:
- (A) The Full Monty - This is straight from the camera, at full resolution and size. Approximately 2800 KB (3,264px Wide x 2,176px High) ... or roughly 7.1 Mega Pixels. This is the highest quality setting, but comes at the price of having a long dowload time. (A factor if you're not on broadband).
- (B) The 60% Monty - This is a full-size, but 60% JPG compression version. The image is roughly 650 KB (nearly 1/5th the file size of the original) but still at full size. This means that it's a lot faster to download, but not as high quality resolution. However, the image is the same size and should be fine for a suitable 8x10 print.
- (C) The Half-ass Monty - This is a cropped, reduced size image (the same as I'm using on this site for the detailed previews). The file size is reduced down to about 110 KB, only 4% of the original file size. The images, which have been cropped, are reduced so that they're 600 pixels high. These are suitable for a website, perhaps (though there will still likely be horizontal scrolling). I'd highly recommend that you download an (A) or (B) version, if you want to make an 8x10 print.
Below are links for each photo. The idea is is "right-click" and then "save as", which will then download the photo from our website, to your computer. If you have any problems, please contact me.
Cheers and good luck with your CRNE!
