FEATURED DONOR: The "Red Dirt Emporium", located in the historic "Bricktown District" of Oklahoma City, made a donation toward - and is using - Photo-caption Zoom Version 3. The Red Dirt Emporium was founded in 2007 and has a goal of introducing visitors and locals to the best that Oklahoma has to offer. They specialize in Oklahoma resources, art, music and other items that celebrate Oklahoma

Oklahoma: The State of "Red People"

Did you know that the name of "Oklahoma" comes from the Choctaw Indian words - "okla" (meaning people) and "humma" (meaning red)? Oklahoma literally means "red people". Ha ... now you know!

It's fitting that a State with such rich and diverse history should be celebrated and it's part of Red Dirt Emporium's mission. Inside the water-front store, you'll find products that are unique and which celebrate Oklahoma's heritage!

On their products details page, you'll find Photo Caption Zoom. If you hover over the picture for each item, it'll "pop" open and some of those images have a descriptive caption. ;)

Here's a quick run-down of some of the unique items that they carry:

Oklahoma City's Bricktown District

The Red Dirt Emporium is in the heart of Oklahoma City's Bricktown District, a rejuvinated, historic area that features live music, retail stores, restaurants, theaters, bars, Redhawks baseball team and ballpark, comedy club and bowling alley.

The Red Dirt Emporium is affiliated with Bricktown Water Taxi, a wonderful way to ride the Bricktown Canal and soak up the atmosphere and sights.

Thanks for your donation Red Dirt Emporium! I'll have to stop by if I'm ever in town!
